ELEGANT MATERNITY PORTRAITS

This is a wonderful time to celebrate the beauty and emotions of your changing body and the incredible journey you're on. Fashion-inspired studio portraits, elegant and unmistakably yours, are the focus of every session.

At the cozy Spring home studio just north of Houston, your session will be a comfortable and exciting experience, allowing us to capture those tender interactions and sweet moments at your own pace. The session comes together around your style, preferences, and the photographs you’re naturally drawn to.

Whether you're welcoming your first little one or have a loving, growing family, the goal is to deliver lasting portraits.

When Is the Best Time for Maternity Photos?

Maternity sessions are typically photographed between 28 and 35 weeks of pregnancy. By then, your belly has a beautiful round shape, while there's usually still enough flexibility to move comfortably between different poses and looks. Every pregnancy is different, though. If you're expecting twins, have a scheduled delivery, or want to photograph your pregnancy earlier, your session can be planned accordingly.

Booking during the second trimester, ideally three to four months in advance, is recommended. That leaves time to choose a date, wardrobe, think about the photographs you're drawn to, and decide whether your partner or children will be joining you.

What Will You Wear?

The studio wardrobe includes form-fitting dresses, bodysuits, crop tops, sheer fabrics, and pieces selected specifically for maternity portraits. Some create a beautiful silhouette. Others add movement or texture. And sometimes the simplest piece becomes the favorite photograph of the session.

Your personal wardrobe is always a great addition! Whether it's a favorite pair of jeans, an oversized shirt, a blazer, or something that helps you showcase a different side of your personality, it can really add a special touch to your photographs.

Bringing Your Favorite People Along

Your maternity session can be a wonderful family experience! Depending on the package you choose, your partner and children are also welcome to join in for part of the session, making it even more special. For young children, that part of the session stays simple and relaxed, just a few prompts, some fun movements, and plenty of breaks when needed. This approach tends to create joyful, natural moments rather than trying to get them to stand perfectly still and smile on command.

What to Expect on Session Day

Sessions usually last about one to two hours, based on the package you choose and whether you're including a partner or children. Once you're in the studio, you'll have the chance to try out different poses and see what photographs you like best. There's plenty of time for wardrobe changes, experimenting with various lighting setups, and a few moments to relax and reset between different looks.

After Your Maternity Session

In about four weeks, you'll receive your beautiful portraits through a secure, password-protected online gallery. There, you can view, download high-resolution copies, and share them with your loved ones. Each selected portrait is individually edited in keeping with the clean, editorial style you see throughout the portfolio.

You can also order professional prints and finished artwork directly from the gallery, perfect for showcasing your favorite photographs on your walls.
